What is the Chili Blaze?

The Chili Blaze was started in 2000 by Ray Hansen and Nick DelGrosso of the Pinellas Park Firefighters, Local 2193 as a fundraiser for MDA. The event was designed to coincide with Pinellas Park’s Country in the Park taking advantage of the crowds and advertising. It has become such a success that it has become a regular part of the Pinellas Park celebration.

The Chili Blaze is located at the England Brothers Bandshell in Pinellas Park. The address is: 5010 81st Ave N. Pinellas Park, FL 33782

Where does the money go?

All money raised for this event goes to Muscular Dystrophy Association. This includes registration fees, entry fees, ticket sales, dontations, sponsor fees and other money. Local 2193 staffs the event with volunteers from the union body and thier families.

How Much Money is raised?

The Chiliblaze has raised as much as $22,000 for MDA during a single event.
